What if we told you that root canal treated teeth do not need posts? In fact they do not need crowns either. With modern adhesive technology and the biomimetic understanding of the dental tissues, substitution of those in a functional way becomes reality. Dr. Forster did not do a post or a crown in the last decade and has had close to 0% restorative failures with endodontically treated teeth. Get to know the concept called BioBlock and how it evolved through our research over the years. Take your endo-restorative practice to a whole new level with this illustrated, practically oriented lecture by the inventor of the short fiber reinforced endodontic core.

Supporting partner:
Dr. Forster practices dentistry since 2006. He completed a three year full time residency programme at Szeged University and recieved a specialization in Operative Dentistry and Prosthodontics. He continued to teach operative dentistry at the Szeged University as an assistant professor for five more years. He practices as a private practitioner since 2013 and is a restorative dentist at the world famous Urban Regeneration Institute in Budapest since 2016.
In 2019 he got his PhD degree for the thesis “Biomimetic Restoration of Endodontically Treated Posterior Teeth”. In the publications of the thesis, he layed down the foundations of the new generation short fibre reinforced restorations of endodontically treated teeth.
Fields of interest: biomimetic restorative dentistry, implant prosthodontics, digital dentistry and documentation.
The Biomimetic way of restoring the Structural Integrity of endo treated teeth is through understanding the structures of the original tooth and reproducing similar structures through adhesive concepts. You'll
never need a post again.
Once you immerse yourself in the Biomimetic concepts you will be able to identify the strategically important dental structures. You will understand that by preparing a crown you are weakening the tooth instead of making it stronger.
Glass Fibers and Polyethylene fibers are integrated into modern endo-resto concepts to mimic the natural mechanics of the tooth. Using these is literally like a safety net. Learn to use Ribbond and Short Fiber Reinforced Composites as intended.
No technician or second visit is needed. By applying the Biomimetic Stress Reducing and adhesive strategies, you can restore a tooth in one visit. Simple and effective.
