“The scientific man does not aim at an immediate result. He does not expect that his advanced ideas will be readily taken up. His work is like that of the planter – for the future. His duty is to lay the foundation for those who are to come, and point the way.”
Nikola Tesla
Dr. Forster was brought up as a nature loving person by his parents who are highly accomplished medical doctors. Them being scientific people he developed critical thinking and analytical mindset from his childhood days. He first encountered the idea of Biomimetic Dentistry as a resident dentist working at the University of Szeged. It was 2008 when he got to see the book of Pascal Magne (Bonded Porcelain Restorations of the Anterior Dentition – A Biomimetic Approach) and he immediately fell in love with the innate beauty of the biomimetic concept. He immediately understood that this is the field he will pursue to understand for the rest of his career.

Cooperate and learn from one of the best clinicians of the modern era. Practicing with Dr. Urban raises the bar to heights unknown
After doing a specialization in operative dentistry and prosthodontics I realized that I have to do more to excell. I got the possibility to work at and learn from some of the best clinicians in Hungary. I also had a chance to practice in Harley Street, London and Limassol, Cyprus, adding to my experience.
I truly believe that passing on knowledge is the most important act that can make humanity prosper. In my first steps in biomimetic dentistry I was a lecturer at the University of Szeged, and used my lectures to disrupt the system and deliver biomimetically enlightened information to the students. As I left the university I started to share my knowledge with graduate dentists and later had the chance to lecture and do hands-on courses in several countries. With the Biomimetic Hub we are taking it to a whole new level.
With my friend and colleague Mark Frater we started our own research project in biomechanics of teeth and mechanical studies of different fiber reinforced restorative techniques. This led to several publications and doctorate degrees for both of us in the field of restorative dentistry. This cooperation still continues today.
I have been lucky to have some of the best mentors during the years. They have guided me, inspired me and showed the way if I was off limits. This is a tribute to their greatness.
Paul is the epitome of the gentleman dentist. A true pioneer of Hungarian restorative dentistry and an inspiration to so many. As a resident dentist I had the privilege to shadow and assist dr. Gerloczy as he was teaching the “Esthetic Dentistry” course to dental students. His touch of perfection in his clinical ability and his way of doing the hands-on courses got me going on adhesive procedures and teaching.
Andras is a true pioneer of fiber reinforced technology in the Hungarian dental community. When I joined the private sector, Andras was my first employer. He had faith in me as a young dentist and not only did he give me the possibility to carry out major adhesive treatments at a relatively young age, but he started to teach me fiber reinforcement. He also gave me the first possibility to lecture at a conference about fiber reinforced endo-restorative methods.
In 2009 Pascal’s book got me started on the proverbial highway to biomimetic dentistry. I did not know how to read literature at the time but I worshiped all his work and tried to get access to all his publications. It took until 2015 to finally meet him during his London seminar, but I always felt guided by his way of thinking and immaculate delivery of information.
Although Istvan is not considered to be a restorative dentist, his exceptional veneer work or other restorations done by him are holding the test of time and are up and running after 20+ years. He is truly the best clinician I ever met. Whatever procedure you can think of, he’s been there, done that. Highly gifted, the hardest worker and a relentless maximalist. All this beside his visionary clinical and scientific work in the field of guided bone regeneration. I am lucky to be a restorative dentist in his clinic since 2016. He is the single biggest influence of my professional career.
Doing the Biomimetic Mastership with dr. Alleman and his team was one of the best decisions I made as a dentist. The genius system that he put together in his Six Lessons Approach to Biomimetic Restorative Dentistry was able to connect the dots and provide some answers I was not quite getting. His mentoring resurrected my passion for biomimetic dentistry and ultimately led to starting this platform.
